The Roanoke Eyeglass Recycling Center is powered by community service. Each year, thousands of donated eyeglasses pass through our facility—and every pair is touched by the hands and hearts of volunteers who make this mission possible.
Lions from District 24-C volunteer with us on a regular basis, providing invaluable support in sorting, cleaning, packaging, and preparing eyeglasses for distribution around the world. Their service continues the long-standing Lions tradition of advancing vision health and giving the gift of sight.
But you don’t have to be a Lion to make a difference.
We welcome schools, civic groups, corporate teams, churches, and individual volunteers who want to serve their community and help bring clear vision to people in need. No experience is required—just a willingness to help and a desire to make a global impact.
